The artists will demonstrate in several mediums, including making double-headed wedding brooms, jumbo needle horizontal knitting, as well as antler & poplar bark basket construction, all using handcraft techniques and hand harvested materials, including split Kudzu! J.Campbell Folk School Fall Festival Demonstration
Mark Hendry will be demonstrating 18th Century Broom-making in the Rock Room at the John C. Campbell Folk School's Fall Festival all day Saturday, October 5th. There will be examples of brooms, basketry and fiber arts produced by some of the classes taught at the Folk School, as well as an abundance of artists selling their handcrafted wares, great food and live entertainment! A must attend event for all art and craft enthusiasts!

MARYLAND SHEEP AND WOOL FESTIVAL
Mark will be joining the John C. Campbell Folk School for a lecture/demo at the 2018 MARYLAND SHEEP AND WOOL FESTIVAL, in West Friendship Maryland. He will have Brooms for sale, and be demonstrating and retelling folklore and history of American Broom Making.
