“My creative practice begins with a journey into the natural world. I follow my bliss to the Great Outdoors where I find the inspiration, materials, and restorative connection that fuel my Art. For me, my life is Art and Art is my life. I work in tandem with the divine intelligence inherent in all living things; growing, harvesting and utilizing “living” materials, while employing time-honored, sustainable traditions. I gravitate toward these ancestral methods not out of mere nostalgia, but to honor a deeper, more mindful connection to both, the work and the Earth. I view my process as a respectful collaboration with the ultimate artist, Mother Nature.
Through the lens of traditional handcraft, I seek to elevate these time-honored practices into the realm of contemporary artistic expression. Each piece serves as a physical bridge between the raw energy of the elements and the intentionality of the artist—a testament to our fundamental oneness with Nature and with each other. The aim of my work is to reveal the organic soul within the material and invite the viewer to share in a depth of beauty that is both ancient and ever-new.”
